Earflap Heart <3 Hat

This adorable little creation is the perfect hat for Valentine's Day.
Don't get me wrong...I LOVE PINK AND RED. I think that's one of the reasons Valentine's Day is so special to me. But, you don't have to have or make everything in pink and red for the big day. I love this neutral color. The simplicity of the cream hearts on the cream hat makes this so classy.

To make this hat you simply:

Make a beanie hat in the size you want.
Make two hearts.
Sew them on with half the heart overlapping the beanie.
Measure out extra yarn twice the length of what you want the tails to be.
Weave the strands through the very bottom of the heart until they are even on both sides.
Braid and tie off.
Do the same for the other earflap.

There you have it! So simple and adorable.

Here is where I got the heart pattern.

This is my little one modeling the hat. She is gorgeous, but so hard to photograph!

Happy Valentine's Day!
&
Happy Crocheting!
